Combatives Class

Service Description

A monthly pay as you go class open teaching combative self defence. We will be using scenario training to teach effective self defence strategies and techniques. Building soft skills such as awareness, confidence and vocal assertion as well as the physical techniques needed to effectively defend yourself. These classes are open to anyone aged 16+ regardless of whether or not they are a Berkshire Martial Arts student. Spectators are not permitted at this class. Please be aware that elements of this class will be realistic self defence scenarios and that these will include simulated aggression, the use of profanity and levels of physical contact designed to take students out of their comfort zone and stimulate realistic responses. If students feel unable to complete certain drills/exercises due to previous history or feeling too uncomfortable they should make an instructor aware at the earliest opportunity. Training within our club for non-members is done entirely at your own risk. We ask that you operate a common-sense approach and understand that you might get hurt. We’ll do all we can to protect you, but injuries can occur from time to time. You agree to undertake training at your own risk and must make reasonable arrangements by your own accord should you require insurance for personal accident or liability.
